Dr. Don Powell is a psychologist, wellness pioneer, and the author of 14 health books, as well as one on sports clichés. As the Founder and CEO of the American Institute for Preventive Medicine, Dr. Don has spent his entire career helping people make their health last a lifetime. A longtime resident of Orchard Lake Village, Michigan, Don discovered that some of the best "preventive medicine" is a bit of mystery and magic. Inspired by a real-life phenomenon that occurred in his own Mailbox 3292, The Mystery of the Magical Mailbox Mansion is his first children’s book. One of his motivations for writing it was to read it to his two granddaughters, Celeste and Wyn. When he isn’t writing or leading his Institute, Dr. Don can be found on the pickleball court, riding his bicycle, or walking with his wife Nancy and their beloved Labradoodle, Maggie.
